Hanover: Come Visit!


Hanover is the capital and also the largest city in the german state Lower Saxony hosting around 550.000 citizens. Right here, you can see it from above.


Recommended Sightseeing Spots



Castle Marienburg was built by George 5th of Hanover and his wife Marie from 1858 - 1869. 
One interesting fact is that the castle was only inhabited for a year by the founders due to the lost German War in 1866.





The Herrenhäuser Gärten are a highlight for visitors.
They are divided into a hill garden which is a botanic garden with many different Orchids. Entering the big garden which is designed in a baroque style and consists of many show gardens.

Planning to stay in summer?



At the Maschsee Lake you can rent a paddle boat and visit several bars in the surrounding area. During the "Maschseefest", an annual summer open-air festival, you get to experience even more of hanover. It is held roughly around three weeks usually ranging from late July to early August.
